After the original readiness center suffered irreparable damage due to an EF-3 tornado in December of 2014, our firm was selected by the Mississippi Military Department to design a new facility on their existing site. The new 41,000 SF building features a large, barrel vaulted roof, reminiscent of a Quonset hut. The structure is set partially underground for wind protection with the primary gathering spaces located on the first floor. Administrative offices are located on the second floor, and split level parking provides direct access to both levels.
